Open position: one Associate Professor, one Assistant Professor and two Postdoctoral Researchers
Job Description:
l Work in collaboration with other scholars in the pillar led by Professor Guy Abel
l Publish in leading demographic journals
l Explore external funding opportunities
l Associate and assistant professors should be capable of teaching courses on the ADRI graduate program
Requirements:
l Have a background in migration studies with a Ph.D. in demography, sociology, geography, economics or a related discipline. (Applications from doctoral students who are close to being awarded with the Doctoral Degree will also be considered)
l Have strong quantitative analytical skills
l Excellent oral and written English
l For assistant or associate professor positions, candidates have publication records in leading peer-reviewed demographic journals
l For Postdoctoral researchers, contracts length is two years
Internal Migration and Urbanization Pillar
Open position: one Associate Professor
Job Description:
l Work in collaboration with other scholars in the pillar led by Prof. Yu Zhu, investigating research topics that are including (but not limited to) patterns of internal migration and urbanization, mobility transition and settlement transition, and international comparison of internal migration and urbanization (particularly with Asian countries)
l Develop research for publication in leading demographic journals
l Be capable of teaching courses on the ADRI graduate program
l Explore external funding opportunities.
Requirements:
l Have a background in the study of migration and/or urbanization with a Ph.D. in demography, sociology, geography, economics or a related discipline
l Excellent oral and written English
l Priority will be given to candidates demonstrating a good and growing publication record in peer reviewed journals
