Guy Abel attended in the annual meeting of the British Society for Population Studies (link:http://www.lse.ac.uk/socialPolicy/Researchcentresandgroups/BSPS/annualConference/2016-Conference-Winchester/BSPS-Conference-2016.aspx), held at the University of Winchester from 12 to 14th September. He presented a paper on "The form and evolution of international migration flow networks" based on work he has carried out in collaboration with Jack DeWaard , Zack W. Almquist , Jasmine Trang Ha from the University of Minnesota. He was also was a co-author on two other papers: "A comparison of bilateral migration counts by time intervals" in conjunction with Guillermo Vinue of the Vienna Institute of Demography (VID) and "Examining the link between climate, conflict and cross-border migration using gravity model" with Raya Muttara (VID) and MichaelBrottrager and Jesus Crespo Cuaresma of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU).
